Ontario is trying to replicate full school-day with online learning. But a computer screen cannot replace a classroom

Ontario now needs to shift its virtual learning strategy away from attempting to replace the classroom with a computer screen to a more innovative strategy, teacher Adam Dharsee writes. Just a week in, online learning has proved to be tumultuous for parents, education workers, and of course students. As a elementary school teacher, it’s been very clear that in-person learning is best for all students and creates a safe space where children can learn and grow both academically and socially.
