Colleen James, a respected Regional Councillor from the Region of Waterloo, has officially been chosen to represent the Ontario Liberal Party in the Kitchener Centre riding. With over 15 years of experience in municipal government and a strong record of community leadership, James brings both political know-how and a deep connection to local residents.
Known for her work in diversity, equity, and inclusion, James has also been a strong advocate for small businesses and neighbourhood-based initiatives. Her campaign focuses on key issues such as affordable housing, healthcare access, and economic opportunity for families across Kitchener Centre.
Taking a leave from her council duties to focus on the provincial race, James’s move from municipal to provincial politics marks an important step in her public service journey. As the campaign unfolds, she aims to bring her community-centered approach and proven leadership to Queen’s Park — offering Kitchener Centre voters a candidate grounded in local values and focused on real solutions for everyday challenges.
