Nowruz with KW Multicultural Centre and KPL

Join KW Multicultural Centre and the Kitchener Public Library for this informal drop-in program to celebrate Nowruz! Sometimes referred to as the Persian or Iranian New Year.

Nowruz is celebrated internationally by many different cultures. Come to the lounge to see the haft sin tables, look at traditional Kurdish and Persian clothing, and see performances by artists.

Registration is not required.

  •     Last Day to submit nomination by email and such: May 3rd 2022
  •     Last day to submit nomination to local Returning Officer: May 12 2022

Municipal Elections:

  •     1st date to submit candidacy:  May 2nd 2022
  •     Last date to submit candidacy: August 19th 2022, 2pm (also last day to withdraw a candidacy)
  •     Candidates are certified: August 22nd
  •     Municipal Elections: Oct 24th 2022, 10am -8pm (subject to local rules)
