Join the Guelph Black Heritage Society for their 5th Annual events for Black HERITAGE Month!
The GBHS want to continue to commemorate those who came before us and ensuring that we MUST recognize the Black history and experiences are so much more than the narrative of enslavement. The GBHS calls on us to honour our past, celebrate today, and look forward to the future.
The GBHS has some amazing events planned throughout the Month – Join this incredible event and participate.
The three dates are Feb 15, 22 & 28, the times will be confirmed soon!

Important Dates to Remember
Provincial Elections:
- Provincial Election Day: June 2nd 2022
- First date to submit nominations: Nominations can be submitted anytime
- Last Day to submit nomination by email and such: May 3rd 2022
- Last day to submit nomination to local Returning Officer: May 12 2022
Municipal Elections:
- 1st date to submit candidacy: May 2nd 2022
- Last date to submit candidacy: August 19th 2022, 2pm (also last day to withdraw a candidacy)
- Candidates are certified: August 22nd
- Municipal Elections: Oct 24th 2022, 10am -8pm (subject to local rules)
