Join the Kitchener Public Library, this Black History Month for a special Black History Month author visit at their Central Library Reading Lounge!
Teachers and students in Grades 4–7 are invited to meet author Wanda Taylor as she discusses her new middle-grade novel, A Recipe for Rhyme and Rescue. Experience an engaging live reading as Wanda brings Darla’s journey to life — a heartfelt story about connecting with history, heritage, and community through her grandmother’s treasured recipes.
Following the reading, students will have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session with the author.
This event is open to Grade 4–7 classes along with teachers, support staff, and parent volunteers. Educators can register beginning December 8. Please register one class per booking space. Click the registration link HERE.
Celebrate storytelling, culture, and connection with us during this meaningful Black History Month author visit!
