Join the University of Waterloo African Student Association (UWASA) for TRACES, the annual African cultural showcase celebrating African and Black diasporic identities. Get your tickets HERE.
Through theatre, dance, spoken word, fashion, and storytelling, TRACES highlights underrepresented voices and brings people together to learn, share, and connect across cultures.
This year’s theme, “Ubuntu”—a Zulu philosophy meaning “I am because we are”—celebrates community, connection, and collective humanity. TRACES invites everyone to reflect on belonging, resilience, and the ways we grow together.
All are welcome—come enjoy a vibrant African cultural showcase full of creativity, culture, and community!
