Ontario Provincial Election 2025 Results

Ontario voters have re-elected Premier Doug Ford and the Progressive Conservative Party to a third consecutive majority government, solidifying the party’s hold on Queen’s Park for another four years.

The Progressive Conservatives captured 80 of Ontario’s 124 seats, securing a comfortable majority and increasing their overall share of the popular vote. The result reflects strong support in suburban and rural regions, where Ford’s message of affordability, job growth, and infrastructure investment resonated with voters.

The Ontario Liberals, led by Bonnie Crombie, made modest gains—earning enough seats to regain official party status in the legislature. However, Crombie herself failed to win her riding, leaving questions about the party’s leadership and direction moving forward.

The New Democratic Party retained its position as Official Opposition but saw a decline in both vote share and seats. Green Party leader Mike Schreiner once again held his seat in Guelph, maintaining the party’s single presence in the legislature.

Voter turnout remained relatively low at around 45 percent, continuing a trend of declining participation in recent provincial elections.

In his victory speech, Ford thanked supporters across the province and promised to continue focusing on affordability, health care, and infrastructure. “We’ve come a long way, but our work isn’t done,” he said. “Together, we’re going to keep building Ontario up.”

With a fresh majority mandate, Ford’s government is expected to move quickly on new investments in transportation, housing, and manufacturing while navigating ongoing challenges in health care and education.

The 44th Parliament of Ontario will convene later this spring, with a Speech from the Throne expected to outline the government’s priorities for the new term.
